Syrniki (Farmer’s Cheese Cakes)

Syrniki is a very traditional Russian breakfast. It is pancakes make form Farmer’s cheese. Syrniki can be served with sour cream, caramel, jam or honey. They are nice and crispy on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside….excuse me while I wipe off some drool!

1 lb Farmer’s cheese (tvorog)
2 eggs
1/2 cup flour
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbs sour cream
2 tbs sugar

1. Preheat the skillet with a table spoon of oil in it.
2. Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl.

3. Mix all well.

4. Scoop a small ladle-full of mixture into the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side.

5. Serve with whatever topping your heart desires!
