Macaroon Brownies

So, I had big plans for the Memorial Day. My hubby was working in the morning so I was going to send him to grill some shishkebobs after work. Then we got the “great news”…hurricane, that got downgraded to tropical storm that was headed right for us…head on!
Awesome!! Well, it as raining on and off with some sunny time in between. I asked if he wanted to grill anyway if it clears up and he agreed. Well, I marinated the meat….and the shishkebobs were great…in the oven! No grilling for us…
To cheer up the ugly, rainy day for us, I made these AWESOME Macaroon Brownies!

Ingredients:
Ghirardelli Chocolate Supreme Brownie Mix (My all time favorite brownie box mix)

14 oz shredded coconut
14 oz of condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 egg whites
1/4 tsp salt

Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350, grease a 9×9 baking dish

2. Mic together the brownie mix and pour into the baking dish.

3. Combine coconut flakes, condensed milk, egg whites, vanilla and salt. Mix very well.

4. Layer the macaroon batter over the brownie batter, evenly.

5. Bake for 45-55 minutes until the batter is no longer giggly.

Enjoy!!!
