Five days of New Year’s Cocktails: Pomegranate Martini

You know how the saying goes: “don’t cry over spilled milk”? Well, today I learned that it’s totally ok to cry over Godiva White Chocolate Liquor. Yes…I did cry! That stuff is like gold!
I decided to finish off the 2012 with a collection of cocktails, just in time for the New Year’s parties. I will be sharing a new cocktail every day until the end of the year. For today, I had a brilliant idea for a white chocolate pomegranate cocktail. That idea totally backfired.
I like to play around with cocktail recipes, just as much as with food and baking recipes. Well I was all set up with my recipe, liquor and camera. I started taking some pictures and once I got to the step with pomegranate liquor…the whole glass of Godiva curled!…whaaaaa! Whole thin gin the trash! So I tried pomegranate juice and it curled too! That cocktail was just a no-go!
I had to go to Plan B! Pomegranate martini…you can never go wrong with a pomegranate martini!
(Remember, always have a Plan B!)

1 1/2 oz Vodka
 1 1/4 oz Pomegranate Liquor
3/4 oz  Honey Liquor
 3 oz Pomegranate juice
1/2 tbs Pomegranate seeds
 ~ Add the pomegranate seeds to the martini glass.
~ Combine all the rest of the ingredients in the shaker with a couple of ice cubes and shake well.
~ Pour the martini into the glass and enjoy! Although, I don’t think you really needed the directions, hehe! {wink}
Happy New Year!
