Delicious and fresh Green Apple Avocado Green Smoothie. Perfect afternoon healthy snack made with fresh green apples, creamy avocado, light yogurt and honey. Packed with vitamins and nutrients!
I’ve been loving smoothies lately, not that I haven’t before but I used to rarely make them. Now, I make myself a smoothie almost every day, after gym. I make smoothies as a snack or breakfast sometimes. This has given me some fun opportunities to play around with great flavors combinations. The winning recipes I wrote down and took pictures. Now, I’m sharing one of them.
When you are making your green smoothie, peeling the apples is up to you. It will alter the texture of the smoothie if you choose to leave the skin on but it will also keep most of the vitamins in the smoothie. If you don’t mind the texture, I recommend keeping the skin and just coring the apples.
It’s the same premise as juicing your fruit. Fresh juice is great BUT most people forget that you leave most of the vitamins and fiber behind in the skin and meat of the fruit. Make fresh juice but don’t forget to eat an actual fruit as well because you need all those vitamins and fiber from the skin and meat!!
- ½ avocado
- 2 small green apples
- ¼ cup of light yogurt
- 1 cup of milk
- 2 tbs honey
- 2-3 ice cubes
- Peeling the apples is up to you. It will alter the texture of the smoothie if you choose to leave the skin on but it will also keep most of the vitamins in the smoothie. If you don't mind the texture, I recommend keeping the skin and just coring the apples.
- Combine the chopped, cored apples, cut avocado, yogurt, milk, honey and ice in the blender.
- Pulse very well until nice and smooth.
- Serve immediately.
