Hubs: “Breakfast was great, babe! Aren’t you having anything?”
Me: “Ummm…I have coffee…”
Hubs: “You would never let us go without breakfast…can you say hypocrisy?!”
Me: “Umm… nooo? I’m just not hungry.”
…2 hours later…
Me: “Food, food, food…I need anything, I’m starving!”
Hubs: “You are scary when you are hungry…I’m not gonna say it!”
This reenactment was brought to you by Mr. and Mrs. “Will Cook For Smiles”. That actually happened a few times in a past. I am doing better with eating breakfast because I realized that it’s better for my health and diet. I just make healthy breakfast choices. Having breakfast really does make me feel much better throughout the day. Smoothies are one of my favorite breakfast options.
I’ve used Silk Fruit & Protein in the past for making smoothies and enjoyed it. This time, I tried a new Silk product, the new Soy Milk. Silk soy milk is made from whole beans, it’s made by crushing the bean and removing the indigestible fibrous portions, then blending the resulting “base” with water, flavoring and nutritious fortifications such as calcium. This whole bean process preserves not only the protein, but also other important components of the original soybean including flavor, essential fatty acids, omega-3 fats and some fiber. It is a great alternative for milk, no matter your reasons. I found Light Chocolate Soy milk and thought it would be great in a smoothie.
I also want to try Silk Almond milk. I’ve heard so much good stuff about it from my co-worker but somehow, haven’t tried it myself. Almond milk was one of the options that I considered when we found out that the little man had reflux issues. He still can’t tolerate regular milk or any regular milk other than skim. Good thing that he is a good eater. Almond milk would still be our alternative for him.
