Pumpkin Turkey Grilled Cheese

Tasty turkey grilled cheese made with pumpkin puree, sharp white cheddar cheese, and dried herbs.

  • 2 slices of sourdough bread
  • About 1 cup of turkey meat cooked and warmed
  • 4 oz sharp white cheddar cheese sliced
  • 2-3 Tbsp pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 tsp dry thyme
  • 1/2 tsp dry sage
  • Salt
  • Olive oil for cooking


  1. Preheat a medium cooking pan over medium heat.
  2. Brush one side of each slice of bread with olive oil.
  3. Spread pumpkin puree on one side of each slice of bread (not the oiled side).
  4. Place bread slices in the heated pan, oil side down.
  5. Divide cheese slices among the two slices of bread.
  6. Sprinkle dried thyme, sage and some salt over both slices of bread. Spread turkey on one slice of bread. Once the cheese starts to melt, press the two slices of bread together.
  7. Cook until golden on both sides.
  8. Serve right away.
