1.5
L
bottles of brut champagne (2 bottles)
chilled
1
cup
fresh cranberries
1
cup
water
1/2
cup
pomegranate juice
1
cup
white granulated sugar
Instructions
In a small sauce pot, over medium heat, combine cranberries, pomegranate juice, water and sugar.
Bring to simmer and let it cook, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes.
Mash the berries as much as you can with the back of a wooden spoon and mix well.
Strain the mixture through a fine strainer to get rid of berry chunks.
Let syrup cool to room temperature before adding to champagne cocktail.
Pour about 2 tablespoons of syrup into each champagne flute and fill it with 4-5 oz of champagne, depending of the size of your champagne glass.
