Ingredients

buttermilk

salted butter
melted

crispy bacon strips
crumbled

medium yellow onion

Instructions
Cook bacon in the oven until crispy, cool slightly and crumble. Set aside.
In a small pan, saute onions with some oil and salt until golden. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine eggs, buttermilk and melted butter. Whisk well.
Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and whisk until all smooth and evenly incorporated.
Fold in bacon and onions until evenly incorporated.
Cook waffles in a waffle maker per your waffle maker's instructions.
