Fish Tacos With Homemade Tartar Sauce

Ingredients

  • For Tartar Sauce:
  • 2/3 cup mayo
  • 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 1/2 tbs of capers
  • 1/2 tsp juice from capers
  • 1 tbs chopped green onion
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • salt and fresh cracked black pepper
  • For Fish Tacos:
  • 2 4- oz cod fillet
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • salt pepper
  • 3 tbs oil
  • 4 small flour tortillas
  • Lettuce to taste
  • Tomatoes to taste
  • Shredded carrots to taste
  • Fresh dill weed

Instructions

  1. For Tartar Sauce: Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  2. For Fish Tacos:
  3. Preheat the oil in a medium cooking pan.
  4. Combine flour, salt and pepper in a shallow bowl.
  5. Cut the fish fillets in 3-4 long pieces and bread each piece, lightly, in flour.
  6. Cook the fish until completely cooked.
  7. Prepare the tortillas by warming them up and filling with lettuce, tomatoes and carrots. Add the cooked fish and tartar sauce. Garnish with a little bit of dill weed.
