Fettuccine pasta sauteed in a delicious bourbon bacon sweet and savory sauce.

Cook pasta in salted water, drain and set aside.
Preheat a large cooking pan on medium heat.
Dice raw bacon and slice shallot thin. Saute bacon and shallot until bacon is cooked.
Add bourbon, mix and let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
Sprinkle flour and mix it in well. Add broth right away and mix well.
Stir in sugar, salt, pepper and thyme.
Add fettuccine to the sauce, mix well and cook for a few minutes,stirring occasionally.
