Cookie Dough Chocolate Cookies

Have you every thought about what an Oreo cookie might taste like filled with cookie dough instead of cream?

No? I must be the only one who thinks of crazy things like that.

This cookie was actually inspired by my son who always has to try cookie dough and batter while I’m baking. If you’re like him and just love raw cookie dough, this treat will be perfect for you.

I always question whether it’s safe to try the raw cookie dough and raw batter because it contains uncooked eggs. So, I always tell him to only had a tiny little taste.

With this cookie dough, you can go bananas! Eat all you want but you may want to save enough to add to the cookies because these chocolate cookie sandwiches are amazing combined with the cookie dough.

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • Beat butter and sugar together for a couple of minutes, until light and fluffy.

  • Add vanilla, mix well.
  • Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, cinnamon, and baking soda. Mix on low speed until all combined.

  • Make sure the cookies are cooled before adding cookie dough and making them into sandwiches.
  • Dust cookie sandwiches with powdered sugar if you wish.

Oh my goodness these look amazing!!! These look like something that requires some sister time 🙂
And I think cookie dough pretty much always wins over oreo, but I couldn’t say which one of those recipes because they all look so good!
