This is my new favorite coleslaw recipe and if you’d try it, it will be yours too!
This is another dish inspired by something I tried at a restaurant. I was at Poe’s Tavern a couple of weeks ago for the first time and I loved it. It’s a nice place just a short walk away from the beach and the food was great. I tried their Buffalo Shrimp Tacos (if you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw it) and they were fantastic! I know, I know…me and my buffalo style dishes. I can’t help it, I love it!
Well, my shrimp tacos were made with blue cheese coleslaw. I thought it was a great idea because buffalo sauce and blue cheese go so well together, you can’t go wrong. Tacos were amazing but I really got into the coleslaw.
Of course, I had to run home and figure out this coleslaw. First of all, I’ve never tried coleslaw that wasn’t creamy and I think that now I prefer it made with a vinaigrette vs. creamy. This is really not a complicated recipe to figure out and I made it just the way I would like it. It came out amazing!! I really urge you to give it a try, even if you think you are a die-hard creamy coleslaw fan!
