Delicious sweet and sour vodka martini. Lime Martini made with vanilla vodka, citrus vodka and lime syrup.
I feel like you need another martini recipe! Am I right?
Since St. Patrick’s Day is coming up, I wanted to share a nice green martini recipe with you. I’ve thought of minty, or lime, or cucumber, or pear, or a combination of any of them and somehow I’ve decided on lime. To tell you the truth, I am not a fan of cucumber martini. Love cucumber mint water but I’ve tried cucumber martini before and it just did not seem right to me. I am a fan of pear martinis, and I will definitely make this one for you sometime soon, but I was in a citrus mood this week so I went with lime. I liked the idea of a sweet and sour martini and I hope you will too!
This Lime Martini actually comes out pale green color. Since it’s almost St. Patrick’s Day, I wanted to make this martini pop with vibrant color. So I added a couple of drops of green food coloring to it. (Just two drops at the most, no need for more.) This is totally optional and you don’t have to add it if you don’t want to.
Another option you can try is a green sugar rim. Just add some lime juice to one dish and green sugar to another dish. Dip an empty martini glass rim into some lime juice and then into the sugar, creating a pretty sugar rim. It would actually work nicely if you want your martini to taste a little sweeter.
