All the great candy is now coming out in holiday themes, including Nestle. I discovered the Nestle Jingles, while shopping at WalMart, and thought it would be perfect to bake for our decorating day. These are the cookies we made and they were wonderful!
Ingredients:
(Find the recipe here)
12 slices Nestlé® Toll House® Refrigerated Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
12 Nestlé® Butterfinger® Jingles, unwrapped
1/3 cup prepared frosting
24 large marshmallows, divided
12 pretzel sticks for arms, broken in half
1 tbs Nestlé® Toll House® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Morsels (for eyes and buttons)
12 small orange candies or orange decorating gel for nose
Thin-string licorice, various colors, cut into twelve 7-inch pieces for scarves
Directions:
1. Prepare the cookies as directed on package.
2. To make the snowmen: insert 2 pretzel sticks into each side of 12 marshmallows to create arms on base of snowman. Spread half teaspoon of frosting onto center of each cookie; top with snowman base. Press down lightly.
3. Spread additional frosting on top of each snowman base. Top with remaining 12 marshmallows. Dip orange candies and mini morsels into frosting and add noses, eyes and buttons to snowmen.
4. For scarf, tie each piece of licorice loosely around neck of snowman using frosting as glue, if necessary.
5. Top the snowman with a little more frosting and Nestle Butterfinger Jingles.
Ingredients:
1 cup of flour
1 tbs unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp of salt
6 tbs unsalted butter, room temperature
3/4 cup powder sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp milk
15 Nestle Crunch Jingles, crushed
10-12 marshmallows
Directions:
1. Sift the baking soda, salt, powder sugar, flour and cocoa powder together.
2. Beat soft butter, powder sugar and vanilla together, on medium speed, for 1-2 minutes until light.
3. Reduce speed to low and mix in the flour mixture. Add the milk and mix until all combined.
4. Take out the dough and roll it in a log. Wrap the dough in the saran wrap and put it in the freezer for about an hour. (Transfer into the fridge if you are not ready to bake yet)
~Preheat the oven to 350. Cover the cookie sheet with parchment paper and grease lightly.
5. Cut the cookie dough into 1/4 inch rounds. Lay out the cookie dough onto the cookie sheet.
6. Bake the cookies for about 8-9 minutes.
7. Place a marshmallow on half the cookies as soon as they come out of the oven. Cover them with remaining cookies. Put the cookies back in the oven for about a minute. Adjust the top cookie and cool on the wore rack.
